Amend2 Magazines is a family owned business based in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Being passionate about our country and having experience in industrial plastics, they saw a need to provide reliable, affordable and premium polymer accessories to the patriots of this country. In 2014 they released our Mod 1 version of the Amend2 AR-15 Magazine. Since then they have made several minor changes to improve the functionality and cosmetic design of our AR-15 and Glock Magazine product lines.

"Does it need Glock Mags?" is about the most common expression you'll see after introducing a new weapon in a pistol caliber. It's gotten to the point where it's just a stale meme. I may be tired of reading it in the comments, but I get where they're coming from. The Glock series pistols are ubiquitous and their magazines are not only affordable but reliable and easy to find. A variety of guns these days take Glock magazines outside of Glock pistols, so it's no surprise the aftermarket has taken notice. The Amend2 Glock Magazine is the newest contender in a market that's quickly becoming overcrowded.
Amend2 now produces a variety of Glock magazines. That includes the A2-17 for the Glock 17 that I have here. They also have models for the Glock Model 19, 22, 23, 42 and 43. Capacities vary and the G17 variant holds 18 rounds of 9mm. The Amend2 Glock magazine is significantly lighter than conventional Glock magazines. It lacks the metal inserts of the Glock OEM magazines and feels very light. Not only does the magazine hold an extra round, but it has a very large baseplate which is nice when a big two ties it all together. It carries witness holes for each turn and a bright red pendant.
Amend2 Glock Magazine
The weight made me think the magazine felt cheap and didn't give me high hopes. The bottom plate is attractive as it makes it easier to get the magazines out of a magazine pouch in my experience. The witness holes are also impressive. The Amend2 Glock Magazine takes a page from the Magpul school of Glock Magazines and features a bright successor.
Although the trailer is red and not bright orange. Bright followers are great for knowing when your magazine is empty or running low in low light. When you stop, pop the magnet to check how much ammo you have left. The bright red pendants are easy to see through the witness holes on the back.
The magazine is also cut for the Gen 4-style reversible magazine issue, but not for an Ambi release. The magazine will of course work with any generation of Glock as well as the 80 lower Glocks from Polymer 80. Inside the magazine the spring is strong and is attached to both the follower and the lock plate. The locking plate is a big red two that's easy to push in for disassembly and sturdy enough not to break every time.
The Amend2 Glock magazine loads easily enough and there is no problem loading 18 rounds into the magazine. The magazine will load into a rifle even with the breech closed when it is completely filled. The only way I know of to test a magazine is to load it, fire it, and keep doing just that. So that's what I did.
Amend2 Glock 19 Pattern 9mm Magazines 10 Rounds 10/pack
I shot different ammunition. The ammo that seems to kill mags the most is Winchester Steel. These rounds will often hang a pendant. In this case, the Amend2 Glock magazine ate a box of 50 with no problems. I went through another 150 rounds with regular brass case ammo. Sometimes I loaded the magazine completely, other times I just loaded a few rounds for reloading practice.
I live on a sand hill and I like to just drop the magazine into this fine, sugary sand. I kept dropping the magazine, picking it up, and doing it again. The sand never caused the magazine to fail. The magazine also falls completely empty.
Placing it in the magic bag showed how great the bottom plate is for fast reloading. It's wide, grippy, and makes you less likely to experience a bad grip and butterfinger drops with the magazine.
As I said, the magazine feels light, and I often associate light with low quality. However, this is not always the case. I did several drop tests with the magazine loaded and unloaded
