The C-20 is a civilian version of the Gulfstream III and IV aircraft. Entering US service in 1983 as a replacement for the C-140B, the C-20 served as the primary transport aircraft for senior US and civilian officials. The C-20G (Gulfstream III) is an all-weather, long-range, high-speed aircraft powered by two Rolls-Royce Spey MK511-8 turbofan engines with thrust reverser. The aircraft has an executive compartment that seats five passengers and a personal compartment that seats eight passengers. The 157 cubic foot baggage compartment is fully pressurized and accessible from the cabin.
C 20 Aircraft
Later versions of the C-20 (Model H, GIV) can be configured for cargo operations, passenger operations, or a combination of both. Once the passenger seat is removed, it can be changed to the following configurations: three paddles/no passengers, two paddles/eight passengers, and one paddle/fourteen passengers. With full seats installed, the aircraft can accommodate up to twenty-six passengers and four crew members.
