Adopted in 1984, the C-21A is the civilian version of the Learjet 35A business jet. It is primarily used to carry senior service personnel, but can be converted to carry a book or five emergency patients during flight.
C 21 Aircraft
Turbofan engines are mounted in capsules on the rear sides of the fuselage. The swept wings have water-activated single-slit blades. The aircraft has a three-wheel retractable landing gear, a single-pitch nose gear and multi-disc brakes.

The C-21 can carry eight passengers and 42 cubic meters (1.26 cubic meters) of cargo. The C-21's fuel capacity is 931 gallons (3,537.8 liters) with fuel filled at ground level through each wingtip tank. The C-21's reliability and performance are enhanced by the autopilot, color weather radar and air navigation system, as well as high-frequency, multi-frequency and high-frequency radios.
The plane has two crew members and can be piloted from any seat. It is equipped with an automatic navigation system to improve workers' efficiency. The four cathode rays display important information for pilots.
Since the late 1990s, the fleet has been significantly reduced, with the Air Force planning to operate around 30 C-21As by the end of 2013.
